CHICAGO (AP) - A commission responsible for planning activities to honor the centennial of World War I will get some help from a military museum in Chicago.

The Pritzker Military Museum & Library will be named as a founding sponsor of the U.S. World War I Centennial Commission. The partnership and contributions will be officially announced Tuesday.

Museum & Library Founder and Chair Jennifer Pritzker is a retired colonel of the Illinois Army National Guard. Her grandfathers served in World War I, which gives her a personal reason for getting involved.

The Pritzker Museum will help the commission through July 2019 in developing programs and materials observing the 100th anniversary of the war.
