The holiday season is packed with colored lights, inflated snowmen and piles of snow. It’s picturesque and familiar, joyous for adults and children.

There are Nativity scenes, statues and menorahs — all religious symbols to remind people how the holidays connect back to their faith.

And Americans are OK with that. According to the Pew Research Center, 44 percent of Americans are fine with religious holiday displays, like crosses, menorahs and Nativity scenes, on public and government property. And they feel that way for all faiths, since, they feel, the holiday season is about all religions.

But Americans aren’t the only ones celebrating the holiday season. People across the world build up their homes and towns for the holidays.

Here are 15 of the coolest religious holiday displays from around the world.
