Sen. Mark Begich, Alaska Democrat, said he doesn’t plan to take down a campaign ad showing him working together with his Republican colleague, Sen. Lisa Murkowski.
“I think it’s very factual — 80 percent of the time, we vote together,” he said Monday on MSNBC. “Alaskans like that the Alaska delegation is working together.”
Ms. Murkowski has sent Mr. Begich a cease-and-desist letter to stop playing the television ad, saying that he used her likeness without her permission.
The race in Alaska will likely be a close one and could decide if Republicans gain control of the Senate. Mr. Begich is being challenged by former GOP Alaska Attorney General Dan Sullivan.
