SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - The board of governors of Shepherd University has approved a nearly 5 percent tuition increase.
The tuition increase applies to in-state and out-of-state students. They’ll also see an increase in room and board rates.
Starting in the fall, tuition for West Virginia students will be $3,285 per semester. For out-of-state students, tuition will be $8,314 per semester.
Room rates will increase 3.8 percent while board rates will rise by 2.06 percent.
The Journal (https://bit.ly/Q089Uc ) reports that Shepherd University’s enrollment has been fairly steady, but state funding has declined.
