FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - The Kentucky National Guard is set to unveil a new light utility helicopter to be used for security and disaster-response missions.

The guard will show off the new UH-72 Lakota in Frankfort on April 22 at the Boone National Guard Center.

The Lakota is meant to replace the aging OH-58 A/C Kiowa which first entered service in 1969.

The UH-72A provides logistics, homeland security and disaster-response missions and medical evacuations.
