LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - Lafayette police say a 19-year-old man was booked on disturbing the peace and terrorizing charges after threatening someone with a stun gun inside the Ambassador Grand Theatre.
The Advertiser reports (https://bit.ly/1lHL2c1 ) Hunter Branam of Lafayette has since been released from the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on a $5,000 bond.
Cpl. Paul Mouton said witnesses told officers that a man approached Branam’s female companion in the theater Saturday and asked her to stop texting. Witnesses said Branam immediately stood up, began arguing and brandished an activated stun gun.
Mouton says Branam then allegedly made the statement about getting a gun.
Branam was taken into custody without incident.
It was unclear whether he has an attorney.
