SURF CITY, N.C. (AP) - A North Carolina woman has been charged with trying to use counterfeit $20 bills to buy Girl Scout cookies.

The Daily News of Jacksonville reports (https://bit.ly/1kmNMOZ ) that 35-year-old Wendy Wilson of Surf City was charged by Surf City Police on Monday with passing three fake $20 bills to buy the cookies.

Warrants also charge her with two drug possession counts, one count of trying to obtain property by false pretenses and a count of possession of a firearm by a felon.



It was not immediately clear if Wilson had an attorney.
