PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Portland neurosurgeon Monica Wehby says she’s raised more than $1 million for her campaign for the U.S. Senate.
Wehby’s campaign announced Monday that she raised $590,000 in the first quarter of 2014. She raised another $500,000 in the last quarter of last year.
Wehby faces state Rep. Jason Conger and a handful of other candidates in next month’s Republican primary. Her campaign manager, Charlie Pearce, says Wehby has contributed $5,200.
Democratic incumbent Jeff Merkley is seeking a second term. He’s previously reported raising $4 million through the end of December.
