BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - Police are investigating after a train struck and killed a man in Bowling Green.

The Daily News (https://bit.ly/1gCH3rX) reports police were notified Sunday morning about a body lying near tracks in the southern Kentucky city.

Police say the 40-year-old man had been struck by a train. Spokesman Ronnie Ward says the man’s identity wouldn’t be released until next-of-kin had been notified.



Ward says officers are trying to find out why the man was on the tracks.

An autopsy will be performed in Louisville.
