FOREST GROVE, Ore. (AP) - Oregon State Police say two people were killed when a box truck and a car collided on Highway 47 north of Forest Grove.
Lt. Gregg Hastings says it appears the car pulled into the path of the box truck Monday morning. Both the car’s 18-year-old female driver and her 19-year-old female passenger died.
The driver was identified as Kiden Dilla and the passenger was Ayan Osman. Both were from Portland.
Hastings says the truck driver is unhurt and is cooperating with the investigation.
Traffic was detoured around the crash site as the highway was closed for five hours.
Forest Grove is west of Portland.
