CHICAGO (AP) - Officials say a 16-year-old Chicago boy has been shot and killed on the city’s South Side.
Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner say Michael Flournoy was shot Saturday evening and died at the scene outside a church.
Flournoy was a high school sophomore at Simeon Career Academy. He wrestled and was a football player. Simeon football coach Dante Culbreath called Flournoy a “soft-spoken young man” who was “always helping people out.”
