BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Two more men have been arrested in connection with the shooting of a Golden Valley man.
Police have charged Bryson Snell with burglary and Benjamin Schultz with accomplice to burglary. Both charges are Class C felonies.
Authorities say Snell and 20-year-old Brett Knudson broke into the home of Jeff Gegelman Sunday afternoon. Schultz, who told police he stayed in the car, said they went to the house intending to steal power tools.
Gegelman told police earlier this week he was home alone Sunday when he saw three men drive up his driveway. He became suspicious and armed himself with a .22-caliber handgun, which he said he was holding when Knudson opened his door.
Gegelman yelled at the men and Knudson allegedly shot him several times before Gegelman returned fire. As the men fled, Gegelman said he wounded one of them, Knudson, in the back.
Police charged Knudson with attempted murder earlier this week.
Snell and Schultz appeared in court for the first time Friday.
