HERNANDO, Miss. (AP) - Hernando aldermen have approved a memorandum of understanding with DeSoto County to share costs for building a road to the city’s new soccer fields.
The Commercial Appeal reports (https://bit.ly/1hn7amK ) that the route will extend a county road to the area where six fields are being readied on about 35 acres of reclaimed land at what is known as the old North Lagoon location.
Hernando Mayor Chip Johnson said he’s excited about the joint project, which will include sidewalks and bike lanes.
