ST. LOUIS (AP) - The Washington University law school is expanding its clinical training efforts by teaming up with the city prosecutor’s office.
The law school and St. Louis Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce on Wednesday announced a donation from law school graduate Alicia McDonnell that will fund the new Prosecution Law Clinic.
Such clinics provide hands-on legal experience for advanced law students. McDonnell is a former assistant district attorney for Suffolk County, Mass.
The clinic will open in the fall and be based in the Circuit Attorney’s Office downtown in the Carnahan Courthouse.
