OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - As other states face stormy weather, Oklahoma is at extreme risk of wildfires in many areas.

A red flag warning is in effect Thursday for much of southern and central Oklahoma. The National Weather Service warns that low humidity levels and temperatures approaching the 90s could create dangerous wildfire conditions.

Forecasters say the area will see gusty winds throughout the day Thursday and that any fires that develop will spread rapidly.

Seven Oklahoma counties currently have burn bans in place.
