NEW YORK (AP) - New York City’s comptroller is offering a plan to streamline information technology contracts at all city agencies.
Comptroller Scott Stringer tells The New York Times (https://nyti.ms/1h6MEN9 ) the changes will require that technology contractors who are paid by the hour submit time sheets within 30 days. They will be required to detail what each worker or subcontractor did, where it was done and how relevant it was to the project.
Stringer says city agencies will have a chance to respond to the proposed directive. But he says he doesn’t believe it will be altered much before becoming official policy.
The comptroller says having a systematic set of rules will help clean up “this scandal-plagued process.”
