LILBURN, Ga. (AP) - Police in suburban Atlanta say the body of a missing 26-year-old woman has been recovered in Gwinnett County.

County police spokesman Jake Smith said in a statement that Angela Rabotte’s body was found Thursday in a wooded area in Lilburn - which is about 20 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta.

Smith says a survey crew found Rabotte’s body and that her death is being investigated as a homicide.

Investigators have said Rabotte dropped her 3-year-old daughter off with a friend Friday before heading to a party in Atlanta that night. She was last seen in the parking lot of the Steeplechase apartment complex in an unincorporated area of Norcross Saturday morning.

Smith tells WSB-TV a person of interest has been taken into custody, but charges haven’t been filed.
