BATAVIA, N.Y. (AP) - Vandals have caused damage to dozens of gravestones at a western New York cemetery twice in the past three weeks.

Steve Davis, superintendent of Elmwood Cemetery in Batavia in Genesee County, tells local media that vandals toppled 30 stones last weekend. He says urns and statues were also knocked over.

During the weekend of April 5, some 25 stones were vandalized and the cemetery’s maintenance building was burglarized. Davis says about $3,000 worth of tools and equipment was stolen.

Police have no suspects in any of the cases.
