ROMULUS, Mich. (AP) - Police in suburban Detroit are investigating the death of a 3-month-old who was found with severe burns on both feet.

Officers responded to a hospital in Wayne on Sunday evening following a report of suspected child abuse. Police say the child’s parents reported finding the unresponsive baby on a bed at their apartment in Romulus and took the child to the hospital.

The baby was pronounced dead Sunday evening. The Wayne County medical examiner’s office tells the Detroit Free Press (https://on.freep.com/1h9j0lK ) that initial autopsy results didn’t determine cause of death. The child’s name wasn’t immediately released.

Police say no arrests have been made. Investigators in Romulus plan to submit a report on the case to prosecutors for review.
