LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Little Rock police department says one person is in custody after an officer-involved shooting.

Little Rock police Lt. Sidney Allen says officers were attempting to serve a warrant Monday evening when the suspect saw the officers, pulled out a weapon and started shooting. The officers returned fire and the suspect fled on foot. Police chased the suspect and caught him nearby.

The suspect was treated for a foot injury unrelated to the shooting. Allen says nobody was struck by gunfire. The suspect is in custody for the first-degree battery warrant and additional charges are pending.
