JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - The National Weather Service says the Mississippi Coast got several inches of rain but Tupelo got less than one-tenth of an inch.

Meteorologists say that in the 24 hours ending at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Biloxi got 4.1 inches and Gulfport nearly 3.4. Pascagoula got just over 3 inches, Meridian got 3.7 inches at Key Field and just under 2 inches at the naval air station.

Tupelo, hit by an EF-3 tornado on Monday, got only seven-hundredths of an inch of rain.



Louisville, smashed by an EF-4 twister, also got 1.2 inches of rain.
