WAYNESBORO, Miss. (AP) - A 41-year-old Wayne County man has been denied bond on charges in the April 14 fatal shooting of his girlfriend.
Sheriff’s Department Investigator Kevin Stevens tells The Chronicle (https://bit.ly/1hIjKgX ) Christopher Norman Bishop is charged with murder in the death of 37-year-old woman Carla Faye Gray at her home just outside of the city of Waynesboro.
Stevens says Bishop was living with Gray.
Bishop is being held in the Wayne County Adult Detention Center in Waynesboro. It is unclear whether he has an attorney.
Stevens says the case is scheduled to be presented to the next grand jury when it convenes in June.
