PLAIN DEALING, La. (AP) - A suspected tornado injured one person and heavily damaged a home in northwest Louisiana.

Bill Davis, a spokesman for the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, says it hit around 3:15 a.m. Monday, about six miles west of Plain Dealing in mostly a rural area.

Davis says a teenager suffered minor cuts and bruises and his home was heavily damage. Several other people in the home were not injured.

He says the power is out and deputies were going home to home checking on other damage.
