ELSMERE, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police have arrested a man they say robbed two men and stole their car in Elsmere.
It happened about 7:30 a.m. Sunday in a restaurant parking lot. Troopers say the men were talking when a third man approached them.
Police say the man put his hand in his jacket pocket as if he had a handgun and demanding money from the men. Officers say after getting cash from them, he jumped into their idling car and drove off.
Troopers say about 10 minutes later, a Wilmington police officer saw the car in the parking lot. State police say the suspect ran off when the officer approached the car, but was quickly apprehended.
Fifty-year-old Charles Jaegers of Wilmington was arrested and charged with robbery and carjacking.
