PAWTUCKET, R.I. (AP) - A melee at a birthday party in Pawtucket has led to four people being stabbed, one critically.

Police are looking for suspects in the early Sunday morning attacks blamed on scores of party crashers.

Pawtucket police received numerous 911 calls. Three men from Providence, one from Pawtucket and a fourth man from Roxbury, Mass., were injured. All were in their 20s or early 30s.



The Providence Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1k9ppiZ ) that police say Jonathan Calixte of Pawtucket, a guest, was critically injured and underwent surgery at Rhode Island Hospital. A hospital spokeswoman says he is in stable condition Sunday night.

Kyle Sims of Roxbury, Mass., told police he was stabbed in the back as he tried to help Calixte.

Andray Love and Jeffrey Pierre also of Providence also were stabbed.
