MILFORD, Conn. (AP) - Police and paramedics have responded to a Connecticut high school for what officials are calling an isolated altercation between two students that sent one of them to the hospital.
Emergency responders were called to Jonathan Law High School in Milford shortly after 7 a.m. Friday.
Police said in a brief statement that two students were involved in an altercation inside the school. Officials contacted by The Associated Press said they could not confirm reports that one student stabbed another.
Authorities have not disclosed more information about the incident or the condition of the victim.
Police say the school is now safe and students are being released for the day.
Police are expected to provide details at a briefing later Friday morning.
