PHOENIX (AP) - A fire has damaged an apartment complex in far north Phoenix.
The Fire Department on Friday sent at least six engines and two ladder companies as well as other units to the complex located near the border with Scottsdale.
Flames shot out of gaping holes in the tile roof of at least one building until firefighters were able to douse the roof with water.
Fire Department Captain Tony Mure says the fire was sparked accidentally as a repairman was trying to fix a cooling system leak in the attic of the leasing office.
No injuries were reported.
