BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The trial for the former Dickinson principal accused of setting fire to his school has been delayed.
A new judge has been assigned to Thomas Sander’s trial after his attorney requested a change earlier this week. KXMC-TV reports the date will change to fit the new judge’s schedule.
The trial was originally set for July 16. The Stark County clerk of court says a new date has not yet been set.
Judge Dann Greenwood was originally assigned the case. Southwest District Judge William Herauf will now preside.
The thirty-year-old Sander pleaded not guilty to charges of arson and endangerment by fire Monday. Both are felonies that carry a maximum punishment of 10 years in prison.
