OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Multiple rounds of severe weather are in the forecast for much of Oklahoma through the weekend.
A line of thunderstorms packing high winds and large hail was moving through western Oklahoma Wednesday, and the Storm Prediction Center said the state was at a slight risk for severe weather. Forecasters say isolated tornadoes are still possible with Wednesday’s storms.
Later on, a “significant multi-day severe event” is expected over the weekend. On Saturday afternoon, storms are expected to develop east of a dryline and warm front in northern and western Oklahoma.
The National Weather Service says the area most at risk for severe weather extends from Woodward east to Ponca City and south to Altus.
On Sunday, severe storms are again possible, this time in central and eastern Oklahoma.
