CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Former defense contractor executive Walt Havenstein is seeking the Republican nomination for governor in New Hampshire.

Havenstein, former chief executive officer at BAE Systems, says he will file paperwork Tuesday to form a campaign committee and will hold a formal announcement event in two weeks.

Havenstein says New Hampshire is at a critical juncture and he believes his experience, ideas and leadership are needed to address the state’s many challenges.
