CHICAGO (AP) - Police are investigating a shooting that seriously injured two young boys and a woman as they walked along a street in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood.
Chicago police spokeswoman Amina Greer says a 3-year-old boy was shot in right shoulder and a 5-year-old boy was shot in the stomach Tuesday night.
Greer says a 51-year-old woman who was with the children was shot in the leg. She was taken to Northwestern Hospital in critical but stable condition. Greer says the boys are hospitalized in stable condition, but that other details haven’t been released.
The relationship of the victims wasn’t immediately known.
Greer says authorities are investigating.
