LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Police in Little Rock have made an arrest in the death of an Arkansas woman who was found stabbed in her home.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1jjJth1 ) that 40-year-old Joe Wicker was charged with capital murder on Friday night.
Police discovered the body of Debbie Bush at her home on Tuesday. Bush was an employee at Wilson Elementary School who failed to show up for work.
Police say a colleague tried to reach her by phone. When she didn’t answer, co-worker Mattie Norman went to Bush’s home about 10:53 a.m. Norman noticed the carport door was open and went inside, where she found Bush in her bedroom, with blood all over the bed and the floor.
Bush worked for the child nutrition department for nearly 30 years.
