Owner: Dog dies after pit bull attack

YONKERS, N.Y. (AP) - A small dog attacked by a pit bull earlier this week has died.

Lulu’s owner tells the Journal News (https://lohud.us/1ntKBCs ) that the Lhasa Apso underwent surgery following Sunday’s attack but suffered liver failure Thursday morning.

Marie Dias, of Yonkers, says Lulu was attacked as she was about to enter the house.

Officials say the pit bull’s owner was issued a summons for having a dog at large and having an unlicensed dog.
