PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) - Pascagoula leaders want a variety of multi-media marketing materials to showcase what the city has to offer to both its residents and tourists.
The Pascagoula City Council voted this week to re-advertise for proposals on a new marketing plan.
In January, the council tossed out the one marketing proposal it received from a previous round of advertising. Officials say the proposal was for four times the allotted budget.
The Mississippi Press reports (https://bit.ly/1ne4fFg ) the request for proposals will run later this month.
The city wants bidders must incorporate of the city’s “A Great Place to Live, Work and Play” and “Only in Pascagoula” a media plan, social media and samples of promotional materials, among other requirements.
The city council has allotted $49,000 for the campaign.
