PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police say a 19-year-old man was killed when his car collided with a pickup truck while he was street-racing with a third vehicle.
Police identify the man killed in the Monday afternoon accident as Xavier Robles and said he was driving a Nissan Sentra which had been racing in south Phoenix with a Chevrolet pickup.
Robles was killed when his car collided with a Ford F-350 pickup that rode up on the passenger compartment of the car.
Police Sgt. Trent Crump says the older-model Chevrolet pickup didn’t stop.
The two people in the Ford pickup suffered injuries that police said weren’t life-threatening.
