LOGAN, Utah (AP) - A homicide charge has been filed against the 40-year-old Millville man accused in a fatal crash that claimed the life of the co-owner of a popular coffee roasting house in Logan.
Cache County Attorney James Swink says Alvin Henson was formally charged on Monday with automobile homicide, a second-degree felony.
Police say 68-year-old Randy Wirth died Saturday from injuries suffered in the three-vehicle collision Thursday in Millville. He co-owned Caffe Ibis Coffee Roasting Co. with his wife, Sally Sears.
Deputies say Henson’s pickup truck collided with a car and then struck Wirth who was riding his motorcycle.
The (Logan) Herald Journal reports (https://tinyurl.com/kytsajh) Henson appeared via video in 1st District Court for his arraignment Monday afternoon. His bail will be addressed at his preliminary hearing set for Monday.
