Man sought in 2 Flagstaff fires blamed on arson

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities in Flagstaff say they’re looking for a possible arsonist in connection with two recent fires in Switzer Canyon.

The Arizona Daily Sun (https://ow.ly/vOt4q ) reports that one fire started Friday and another began Saturday about 150 yards away.

Police Sgt. Cory Runge says the proximity and timing are suspicious and that the fires are believed to be arson.

A man was questioned and released after the first fire, and police are now trying to locate him again.

He was last seen wearing a black hat, a camouflage jacket and carrying a tan backpack and a large knife.
