TUSKEGEE, Ala. (AP) - Alabama Department of Public Safety officials say an 8-year-old boy from Shorter has died in a single-vehicle crash west of Tuskegee.
Sgt. Steve Jarrett says the boy was riding in a car traveling along a Macon County highway when it veered from the road and hit a utility pole Tuesday morning.
Authorities say the boy wasn’t wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The cause of the crash is unclear and Jarrett says the incident is under investigation.
