COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx plans to get a close look at projects in two Ohio areas.

Foxx is scheduled to be in central Ohio on Monday morning. There he plans to view the Pickaway East-West Connector Project, near the Rickenbacker Intermodal Facility in the Columbus area.

On Monday afternoon, Foxx plans to be in the Cincinnati suburb of Norwood. He will review transportation-related manufacturing projects, involving Amtrak Cities Sprinter 64 electric locomotives, at Siemens Motors Manufacturing.



President Barack Obama last year nominated the mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina, to join his second-term Cabinet.
