FITZGERALD, Ga. (AP) - Police in south Georgia are investigating the slaying of a woman found dead inside a Fitzgerald motel room.
WALB-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1iMIaIa ) the slain woman was discovered Sunday at the Uptown Motel in room 126. Fitzgerald police have released few details about the investigation.
Authorities say the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called in to assist local police in Fitzgerald, a rural community located about 60 miles east of Albany.
The name of the dead woman was not immediately released. No arrests have been announced in the case.
