LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The National Weather Service in Little Rock says strong thunderstorms and possibly a tornado are forecast for the state.

Meteorologist Julie Lesko says the biggest threat will be Sunday night into Monday morning with strong winds and hail of up to 1-inch diameter. She said a tornado cannot be ruled out, especially across southwestern Arkansas.

She said an inch to an inch-and-a-half of rain is expected from the thunderstorms.

Lesko noted - though - that the threat comes during the overnight hours when the atmosphere tends to stabilize.
