QUITMAN, Texas (AP) - A Northeast Texas man has been given two life sentences after a jury found him guilty of sexually assaulting children.

Jason “Pooh” Pugh was convicted Thursday of sexually abusing several female children.

Wood County District Attorney Jim Wheeler tells the Tyler Morning Telegraph (https://bit.ly/1sLzLM9 ) that evidence during the punishment phase of Pugh’s trial showed he had pornography smuggled to him while he was locked up at the Wood County Jail.

The jury deliberated only 25 minutes before coming back with its punishment verdict.
