KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) - Oregon State Police detectives are investigating the death of a 66-year-old man whose body was found in the back of a burning pickup truck on a dirt road west of Klamath Falls.
Lt. Gregg Hastings says Rocky Point firefighters responded Wednesday to a reported vehicle fire. Once the fire was out, they found the man’s body in the charred truck bed.
The man has been identified as Joseph E. Huntstiger of Klamath Falls. A handgun was also found.
Hastings says an autopsy is pending to confirm the cause of death.
An arson detective is working to determine the cause of the fire.
