Former Major League Baseball pitcher Justin Miller was found dead in his Palm Harbor, Fla., home Wednesday night at the age of 35, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

A spokesperson for the Pinellas County sheriff’s office said the cause of death is still unknown.

Miller leaves behind a wife of 15 years, Jessica, and two sons.

“I think he’d want the world to know that he always did his best at work and at being a dad,” Mrs. Miller told the Tampa Bay Times. “He always tried.”

She said she didn’t know what caused her husband’s death, but she called it “sudden.”

Miller played professional baseball for 15 years, most recently for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2010, the newspaper said.
