Missouri Democrats signed a bill making it a Class D felony for any legislator to even propose limiting the collective bargaining rights of unions.
“Any member of the General Assembly who proposes a piece of legislation that further restricts the right of an individual to bargain collectively, as set forth under Section 29, Article I of the Missouri Constitution, shall be guilty of a Class D felony,” the bill, sponsored by Rep. Jeff Roorda, reads.
Missouri is not a right-to-work state, and this bill, if enacted, would make it illegal to propose such legislation.
Mr. Roorda’s office did not immediately respond to requests for comment by The Daily Caller.
