‘Curb Appeal’ co-host Bill Beckwith dies in motorcycle accident

Bill Beckwith, a co-host of the HGTV show “Curb Appeal,” was killed Monday night in a motorcycle accident in San Francisco.

Beckwith, 38, was riding a motorcycle near the city’s Haight-Ashbury neighborhood when he was struck by a car at about 8:30 p.m., local media reported.

“The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperative with police investigators,” police said in a statement, Today reported. “[Beckwith] was transported to [San Francisco General Hospital] where he died from injuries sustained in the collision. “

Beckwith, a carpenter and general contractor, was one of the three hosts of “Curb Appeal,” which features home renovations.

HGTV said in a statement that his creativity, adventurous spirit and general love of life will be missed, the Associated Press reported.

Some of Mr. Beckwith’s friends commemorated him on a Facebook page titled “Billy J. Beckwith, Superstar,” Today reported.

“I am so sad to have lost such a wonderful friend,” wrote Jordan Marks. “Bill was an exceptional man and I will miss him dearly. I am still in shock. Last we spoke he was hugging me at my wedding in September.”

Beckwith’s girlfriend, Yulia Korneeva, posted a number of photos: “My love: so kind, so bright, adventurous and strong. You are loved by so many good people! I wish you could stay with us for way longer.”
