Police identified a 27-year-old Northeast man as the suspect arrested in connection with a deadly stabbing near the Waterfront Metro station just after midnight on Sunday.
Leon Allen Smith was arrested and charged with second-degree murder after 45-year-old Stephan Manuel Pool, 45, of Upper Marlboro, was found stabbed in the chest on the 200 block of N Street Southwest at 12:08 a.m., Metropolitan Police Officer Araz Alali said Monday.
Pool was transported early Sunday to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
