NEW YORK (AP) - Facebookâs beleaguered stock is set to end the week on a high note, pulling Zynga with it.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg jump-started Facebookâs stock earlier this week when he talked up the companyâs mobile ambitions and acknowledged it has made mistakes.
His comments came in his first interview since Facebookâs botched Wall Street debut in May.
Facebook also launched its advertising exchange on Thursday. Facebook Exchange lets advertisers target users in real-time, based on outside websites they visit. So if you visit a storeâs website, you might see ads from them on Facebook.
Facebookâs stock is up more than 5 percent at midday. Itâs up 15 percent for the week.
Shares in Zynga, the struggling online company behind “FarmVille” and other games, are up 4 percent. Week-to-date theyâre up 7 percent.
