Man and woman shot in Northwest Sunday night

Two people were taken to the hospital after being shot Sunday night, a police official said.

D.C. police spokeswoman Officer Tisha Gant said that at about 10:30 p.m., a man was shot in the leg and a woman was shot in the arm near New York Avenue and North Capitol Street Northwest.

Police have not identified a suspect and no further information is available, she said.
