A man purposefully walked in front of a Metro train on Saturday and killed himself, officials said.

According to reports, at about 11:17 a.m. on Saturday, an adult man stepped in front of a northbound Red Line train at the Rockville station.

Train traffic was delayed for several hours as Metro officials investigated the incident. Regular service resumed Saturday afternoon.
